Except now she's gone to find a euphemism and I've been left here to finish this post I've been not writing for about 40 minutes now.

My little OCD

You know when you're typing into Microsoft Word and you type a word incorrectly, like if you wrote 'consideratoin' instead of 'consideration', spellcheck automatically fixes it up for you?

If I notice that it's happened, I have this OCD thing where I have to go back and fix it up.

...Is that weird?

To be honest, it's really beginning to annoy me.

Why I appreciate rice

I saw for the first time today what rice, growing, looks like. Here's a picture for your eyes:

So basically, there 's rice inside those little husks growing on that stalk, so each grain needs to be taken out and then polished, before it gets put into the bags which we buy.

That must take forever!

I'm never going to look at the rice on my plate in the same way again...

(Also, if you haven't already done so, check out freerice. Give rice to hungry people AND improve your vocabulary. Does it get any better? ^_^)

Facebook angst

I don't understand why people I don't know add me on facebook. I mean, sure, if we've talked or if I have a vague idea of who you are then okay, fair enough, I'm not going to complain if my friend count goes up.

But seriously, when you live on the other side of the world (America), you're a 30 year old man, and your name is "Faith"... I don't want to be your friend.

A blog in four parts

Part one: Justice Kirby is coming to uni on Thursday ^_^ 

I'm totally going to his lecture, even if it is my day off and I have assignments.

I'm a bit too excited, maybe.

But Mr Dissent is going to be excelllllent!

Part two: LAWl-cats...lol... Yes I made the pun up on my lonesome, kudos to me thankyou, yes.

One day I'm going to get a cat, and his name will be "Lolcat".

A not-very-funny story

I was sitting on my bed, minding my own business, trying to get some work done, when I sneezed.

I looked down, and saw that I had speckles of blood on my jumper. 

Turns out I had a nosebleed and didn't realise, and now I'm just a bloody mess.

Ummmmm

For some reason, there is a Harley in my driveway...

*goes to investigate*

Just in case...

This is just a note to say that if the world happens to end in 4 and a bit hours after being sucked into a million tiny black holes because of this LHC thing, I love you all.

I'm going to go and buy a big packet of salt and vinegar chips (crinkle cut), and maybe some chocolate and camp out on my bed for the next 24 hours or so, listening to Coldplay and getting this motherfucker done.

My phone is so broken.

Well, it's a photo from the interwebz, I didn't actually take a photo of it just to post here, but it looks exactly the same except for a few scratches and a prettier wallpaper. Oh, and instead of the 24 carat gold, it's just plastic painted silver.

It doesn't give me my messages; instead it sends me one saying "You have one new voicemail message". So I check my voicemail, and there's no voicemail.

THEN, a week later, I get a million messages all at once that the phone's just hoarded and not given to me until then.

Then I get really frustrated and blog about it.

Chrome stockings?

Today has been pretty uneventful. I think the highlight was probably our crim tutor awkwardly trying to explain the differences in 'sexual intercourse' in common law and statute... 

It rained and I got rulleh wet, so I took my shoes off on the bus and people looked at me weirdly, which is fair enough I guess.

Also I got a pair of stockings in the mail.

I sent off for them a while ago because they came free with some magazine that was lying around if you sent in the little slip, so I did and now I have stockings with breakthrough technology that controls laddering. Which is kind of cool. I like free things (:

I really think that you, my small and humble readership, should go and download google chrome.

I can't get over how cool it is. I mean, yeah, I'm a sucker for nifty features and don't really bother about the important things, but this is fuuullll of nifty features.

When I open a new tab, it gives me views of the pages I most often visit!

I can drag a tab out of the window and it will open the page in a new window!

How cool is that?!

Hey, I'll put some new shoes on and suddenly everything's right

So I didn't go to uni today. Because I'm lazy and I was tired and frankly, foundations isn't worth the bother. And I barely go to lectures anyway. So I stayed home planning to start one of these bitchmotherfucker assignments and... didn't.

In other news, I got my P's on Friday, which is kind of exciting. Except without someone sitting next to me to talk to there's nothing to stop me singing along to whatever music's playing, which probably makes me look a bit of a tit to anyone watching.
Oh wells.

AND I have a job now :)
But I want to quit already; my time's worth more than $8 an hour :(

So I'm still job hunting.

And OH exciting news!
I renamed my car! For those of you not in the know, his name was Fawkes (as in, after the phoenix), but now it's Balthasar. Or maybe Balthazar. I can't decide whether I like the 's' or 'z' better.
Ten dollars for who can guess what he's named after...


...Yeah, that's right. A cow in Croatia.
